This event was hosted by T.H.E. JOAD of Columbus, Texas. The venue had a huge outdoor, open-air pavilion which provided a cool area for waiting between ends, and kept all the spectators out of the hot Texas sun as well. Archers stood in the grass, out from under the pavilion, during competition to be consistent with the "outdoor" requirements of the sport. In my 15 years of JOAD archery, this is literally the best JOAD event I've ever attended! (Ron Carmichael, webmaster). A hearty well-done to the tournament organizers, Karin and John Magera, and to all the volunteers that made it such a great event.
